4 Things to Bring on Your Next Trip

“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”– Winnie the Pooh

That big yellow lovable bear knows a thing or two about adventure. Be like Winnie and go on that adventure! When you do decide to grab your honey and go here are some things you should always remember to pack.

Water

75% of people are chronically dehydrated. This can lead to a major misadventure. Dehydration causes fatigue, irritability, and slows your metabolism! Sure, you may need to make an extra stop or two but stretching your legs and taking in a town only adds to the experience! This small thing makes a big difference.

Camera

Sean O’Connell: Sometimes I don’t. If I like a moment, for me, personally, I don’t like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want to stay in it.

Walter Mitty: Stay in it?

Sean O’Connell: Yeah. Right there. Right here.

Sometimes you don’t need the camera. Sometimes you’ll find a ghost cat and want to savour it. For everything else, you’ve got it. Finding wonder is fun but getting to relive that moment and share it through pictures can be something special. You don’t need a fancy Fujifilm or Nikon your smartphone will do. Just keep it in mind that there are some things you will want to take pictures of and you should. Even if you feel like a goober while doing it having that memory is worth the moment of goofiness.

Pillow

If you’re planning on going somewhere and staying overnight having a pillow is a major comfort. You won’t always win the Airbnb lottery and a good night’s sleep can make all the difference. Driving with a mate and need a rest? You’re covered! Need some back support because you’ve been sitting for ages? No worries! Sure it can be a slight inconvenience to lug around a bag of feathers but, sleep on it, you’ll see what I mean.

A Friend

“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like ‘What about lunch?’”– Winnie the Pooh

For only travelling 100 acres this bear sure did know a lot about adventures. A trip is always better with a friend. Going on a trip is exciting and it turns out it isn’t very hard to convince somebody else to go with you. A friend can not only share costs but also share a conversation or share a moment. There is truth to the saying, “Not all those who wander are lost.” The truth is they just brought a better navigator.
